Happy-ish Ha ha hah!

Yup, I'm in a kind of happy state right now. I am eating what I want, though trying to keep a lid on the portions. Not anywhere close to being too fat. And am training for the 5/3 Riverbank Run on May 12th. You can check my stats on one of my other blogs which I more often update.

I am now doing great with the whole food portions thing again. I just had to suffer through shrinking my stomach down a bit and stop eating when I feel full. I am down to about 2-fists for a lunch or dinner with no second helpings. I notice if I hit a buffet that there is no way I can do what I know I could do before... and that is polish off a ton of food. I top out at 2 plates that are not usually very filled at all. I do still suffer a bit from what was ingrained in me while I was growing up... and that is to clean my plate. No wonder I was a bit overweight until I got to college. Then my mom just thought I was too skinny... healthy was more like it.

Anyway, just plugging along happy as a clam, I guess. Though running is still like pulling teeth. Can't wait to see what my brain is like when I get closer to doing the Bobby Crim 10 mile run later in the year. August can't be too hot, can it? D'oh!
